Together with all the positive news of the vaccine we have also recently detected a big surge in a scam related to the NHS efforts to get people vaccinated. It comes as a text message to your phone saying that you have been identified to be eligible to apply for a vaccine and to follow a link.
This will then lead you to a form that with the excuse of proving ownership of the address will require you to give your banking details. The scheme is elaborate and can mislead you by using the adequate logos and layout.
Please DO NOT ever give your banking details or any other private information to anyone online. We would recommend you also warn your friends and families of this scam and report it if you receive it.
